Our rescue, located in Moncton and Frederiction NB Canada and reaching out as far as we can, takes in all domestic pets and is run entirely from our home and occasionally a few approved foster homes. This allows us to get to know the animals very well and to give animals a second or third chance at a life we think they deserve. We work closely with shelters and other rescues in our area and often work with pets that need some extra one-on-one time in order to be adoptable.
We are not a no-kill rescue and feel that this is an important part of rescue. It is often seen as a negative thing but we believe that it is the responsibility of rescues and shelters to humanely euthanize animals that can not have a good quality of life or that are not safe to be adopted. Although this is always a last resort it should not be overlooked as it is a difficult but important part of being a rescue.
Haven House is focused on helping animals here in our community and placing them where they will do best. We believe that through working hard and helping one another in our community we can improve the life of the animals in it.
We hope that all the animals we adopt out will enhance the life of each family they go to the way our own pets have for us.
